This is a great video presentation by Meridian's Peter Doidge. It helps confirms anyone thinking that investing solar power is a good idea. It is a bit old now, the new pricing strategy that Peter talks about has only just come into play as of May 2013. I understand that it was quite a big task to implement this new pricing strategy, which highlights Meridians commitment to Solar PV.
I particularly like when Peter Doidge mentions this in the video, and I quote:
"Solar PV is actually over taking solar hot water in its ability to deliver energy that is more useful than just hot water. So there is no wastage with solar PV. If you have it on your home for example, and you want to export the surplus, which might be on the weekends when you are not using the electricity, then meridian will buy every kilowatt hour that you can produce or export to the market."
